In support of the You Can Play organization, and in conjunction with the Toronto Gay Hockey Association, we will be hosting a charity skate event to raise both funding and awareness of the YCP cause.

YOU CAN PLAY
WHO WE ARE
When we hosted the first Skate Against Hate in 2013 we were a group of Centennial College Corporate Communications and Public Relations students hosting the event as part of a final project for an Event Management class.
Now, however, having graduated from the program and moved into the corporate world a couple of us have decided that the event struck a chord and have dedicated time to continuing our support of You Can Play. In that vein we've decided to make Skate Against Hate an annual event and are moving forward with hosting the second annual event in April, 2014.
We decided we wanted to support You Can Play because of the importance of the message they're trying to spread - that regardless of sexual orientation, everyone should feel welcome in sports at all levels of play.
